Today we visited Bethan and Abigail's seaside hometown of Portsmouth to practice what we preach and clean up a beach (see what we did there!). As well as raise money, source materials to make costume and props for Turtles Don't Like Plastic.
We cleaned our way along the sea front from Clarence Pier to the Blue Reef Aquarium leaving no pebble unturned. We then headed back to the pier via Southsea Common which is notoriously plastic-tastic and covered in litter after a sunny weekend. We took donations and engaged with the public along the way.
We were overwhelmed with support, local families joined us, the RNLI and friends who had travelled from as far as Oxford to take part!
We saved loads of rubbish from going into the sea and made friends with lots of people along the way!
