Abigail Screen

Associate artist, designer and puppet-maker 

Abigail Screen is a Theatre Designer and artist, currently based in South London. Working within both set and costume design. Originally from Portsmouth, where studied for her foundation year in fine art. Abigail has always had a keen interest in experimenting within different mediums such as; painting, sculpture, textiles, printmaking and performance.


Abigail is the designer for Romantika, a physical theatre company. Abigail has worked on both of Romantika’s current shows: The Crossing Place and What Lies Beneath. With Romantika, Abigail has taken work to; Västerås, Paris, London, Birmingham and the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, in the venues Summerhall and Zoo Venues. Other recent credits include; Hollow Hotel (The Difference Engine),Happiness Engineers (Theatre Delicatessen), (Neverland (Guild of Misrule) God of Hell (Craft Theatre), Saudade (Told by an Idiot) and The Neath (Specifiq). Which have given Abigail the opportunity to work within a range of different venues, from The Barbican to converting non-theatre spaces.


Since graduating from Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance Abigail has mainly been working within the field of designing for Devised Theatre and Immersive theatre, of which she has a keen interest.


Abigail graduated in 2017 from Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance with a First Class honours degree in BA(Hons) Theatre Design.
